M12 time of flight (ToF) lenses capture up to 110 degrees FoV, optimised for 1/2 and 1/3 sensors

ToF is the abbreviation of Time of Flight. The sensor emits modulated near-infrared light which is reflected after encountering an object. The sensor calculates the time difference or phase difference between light emission and reflection and converts the distance of the photographed scene to produce depth information. A time-of-flight camera consists of many components, one of which is the optics lens. A lens gathers the reflected light and images the environment onto the image sensor which is the heart of the TOF camera. An optical band-pass filter only passes the light with the same wavelength as the illumination unit. This helps suppress non-pertinent light and reduce noise. A time of flight lens  (ToF Lens) is a type of camera lens that utilizes time-of-flight technology to capture depth information in a scene. Unlike traditional lenses that capture 2D images, ToF lenses emit infrared light pulses and measure the time it takes for the light to bounce back off of objects in the scene. This information is then used to generate a 3D map of the scene, allowing for accurate depth perception and object tracking. TOF lenses are commonly used in applications such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, and augmented reality, where precise depth information is critical for accurate perception and decision-making. They are also used in some consumer electronics devices, such as smartphones, for applications such as facial recognition and depth sensing for photography. Chancctv has been focusing on the development of TOF lenses, and has developed a series of TOF lenses dedicated to UAV. The parameters can be customized according to actual application and requirements to meet the needs of qualitative industries.
