Product Detail
"AA lenses" refer to lenses assembled using Active Alignment (AA) technology—a method frequently employed in the manufacturing of camera modules. Active Alignment is a high-precision assembly process for lenses and sensors; it allows for the meticulous integration of a lens with an image sensor during production, ensuring optimal imaging performance.
The assembly of camera modules involves several precision components, such as the image sensor, lens holder, and the lens itself. Traditional assembly methods are often constrained by component manufacturing tolerances and human operational errors, which can lead to the accumulation of deviations. Such minor discrepancies may result in issues like blurred images, inconsistent sharpness between the center and edges of the frame, or the appearance of vignetting (dark corners).
As camera resolutions increase and apertures grow larger, the requirements for assembly precision have become increasingly stringent. AA technology shifts away from traditional passive assembly approaches. By utilizing specialized equipment, it enables the dynamic adjustment of the lens's and image sensor's positions and angles—all while monitoring the image in real time. This ensures the precise alignment of the lens's optical axis with the center of the image sensor, achieving an optimal overall imaging state, after which the components are permanently secured using adhesive or welding.
